In Their Own Words

Read the testimonials of people who participated in Day of Truth

Mark in New Mexico…
Mark, a business owner in New Mexico, plans to display a sign at his business promoting the Day of Truth website.  “I put the sign up so I could express my Christian perspective,” Mark said.

Lindsay…
“…I am 17 years old, and I attend a very large high school. … thank you for the cards. And as my mom says, ‘We are still the majority, even if some people don’t want to act upon their beliefs. We must always take a stand for our rights or we will lose them.’”

Taylor…
“I was so excited earlier today when I learned about the day of truth.  Last year the day of silence was extended into a full week of hate crimes propaganda.  A few of my Christian friends and I got in trouble for distributing bible verses from the New Testament that speak out against homosexuality.  I feel that my fellow Christians and I will now be better prepared for the events to come.  I lead a daily prayer group during break time in my school cafeteria.  We take prayer requests from anybody in school and are continually praying for those who fight against our cause.  …..We have about 20 regular attendees and I am suggesting that all of them sign up.  …I am requesting my elders for use of my church building for after school activities dealing with the Day of Truth.  Again we are all very excited and thank you for your amazing inspiration.”

Pam, a parent…
“I was so glad to hear about the Day of Truth.  My daughter is a freshman…. and we have both been in shock that the school counselor would promote a club to encourage gay lifestyles.  We need to pray for these kids and people encouraging this sinful and deadly lifestyle and give our kids a voice to proclaim the truth.”

A high school freshman in Arizona…
“One girl in particular asked me if it was hard because I have a friend that is a lesbian.  I told her that “yes” it is hard, but I’m not going to give up on her.  I think that God has so many awesome plans for that girl and for the rest of us.  The Day of Truth is something that is so awesome!”

An adult who does not support Exodus International’s views on homosexual behavior…
“I still disagree with your views, and I always will.  However, you’ve expressed your views in a polite and forthright manner, without being confrontational, and I wanted to tell you that I very much appreciate that.”

Erica in Kentucky…
“I just wanted to let you all know how much I appreciate the Day of Truth. I am a minority at my university. I am in a medical ethics class and I am one of the few that trying to up hold God’s message.”
